Research interests
Development of human brain imaging methods to find out how the sensing of natural stimuli, such as speech (audiobooks) or films, is reflected in the observer's brain recordings. From the neuroscience point of view, the focus is on understanding which brain areas are involved and how these areas encode the specific stimulus features. My work is characteristically explorative and data-driven, to find any consistencies in the noisy data, and to build encoding and decoding models between the stimulus features and the brain responses. I am especially concentrated on magnetoencephalography (MEG) signals.
