A workshop of the Center of Excellence in Low Temperature Quantum Phenomena and Devices
VENUE: Gustavelund Hotel and Conference Centre, Tuusula, Finland
7-8 November 2013
This workshop aims at strengthening the collaboration between the research groups and providing graduate students and postdocs with tutorials on a number of topical research areas topics that are represented in the CoE.
The venue of the workshop is Gustavelund Hotel and Conference Centre in Tuusula, not far from Helsinki. [link]
- Transportation: on Thursday there will be a bus leaving at 9:15 from Otaniemi (in front of Nanotalo, Puumiehenkuja 2) and arriving 9:45 to Gustavelund. On Friday the bus departs from Gustavelund at 14:30.

Note: Tutorials are 40 min. including 10 min. time for discussions. Presentations of research topics are 10 min. per topic including 3 min. time for questions.

Connecting excellence
The purpose of this event is to identify more common research topics within the CoE, discuss plans for future collaboration, and identify new ideas. During this event we plan to embark on several rowing boats and go to a nearby peninsula. Note that in November it could be quite cold, please remember to dress appropriately.
