Finns celebrate labour day (Vappu in Finnish) that weekend so please prepare yourself to face masses of people in the streets, restaurants and shops. It can be hard to hail a taxi on Friday night and the public transportation might be a bit slower than usual. Most of the festivities take place on Saturday, but the city center will be crowded throughout the weekend.
