Akseli Gallen-Kallela's Stereographic Images

Akseli Gallen-Kallela made several stereographic images during his extensive travels in Africa

Here is an example of an image catching the Cheops pyramid and the Sphinx with Akseli Gallen-Kallela's wife Mary and daughter Kirsti

For 3D impression look at the left image with your right eye and the right image with your left eye. Relax - concentrate and voilà - there it is. I have a more detailed explanation on another page in context with some other stereographic images.

The above picture is from the Art Noir exhibition at Tarvaspää museum where until October 15, 1995 one could study the photographic works of Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Hugo Simberg, August Strindberg and Edward Munch from the turn of the century
